Another year has gone flowing by.

The older I get, the more that time starts to feel less like a line and more like a river.

Hello everyone! Just a note to say that, for the first time in a few years, I have a gallery show hanging! Entitled "Same Same But Different," it will be open to the public from 10am-5pm, Monday through Friday, at the Anne Kittrell Gallery in the University of Arkansas Student Union, until the end of September.

One of the most delicious places I’ve eaten in Arkansas is The Hive, the restaurant inside the 21c Museum Hotel in Bentonville. The head chef, Matt McClure, is a real class act on top of being an amazing chef. I was excited when I got contacted by their marketing department about creating some images for the restaurant shortly after my son was born earlier this year. You know, when restaurants were still open like they used to be. In the pre-Covid times.

As a lifelong introvert, one of my favorite situations as a portrait photographer is when I get to work with someone one on one and actually get to spend a little time getting to know them. It’s much more fulfilling for me than working with a crowd or even just a larger group of people. And one of the best ways to get to do that is by doing high school senior portraits.

Well, folks, this isn’t how I expected it to turn out. There was going to be a party.

On this day ten years ago, I marched my almost-college-graduate butt down to the county courthouse and filed the first paperwork to become an official business in Arkansas.

You may have wondered why I haven't taken the time to update this blog for a few months. The answer? I had a baby. And it turns out that in the months leading up to and immediately after the birth of a child, you're a little busy.
