2019 COW PADDY RUN | NORTHWEST ARKANSAS EVENT PHOTOGRAPHER
Since 2010 or so, I've been a sponsor of the Cow Paddy Run. A 5K and 1K fun run family event, the race originated sometime in the late 80s or 90s, when I was a little kid, to help fund the creation of Gulley Park in Fayetteville, Arkansas. It went away, eventually, but was resurrected by some of my friends in 2010 as a charity event to give back to our area's public schools.
DOROTHY FOR BUTTERFIELD TRAIL VILLAGE MAGAZINE | ARKANSAS EDITORIAL PHOTOGRAPHER
One of my regular projects is to shoot the main story images for the Butterfield Trail Village magazine called Butterfield LIFE. For the most recent issue, it was Dorothy Mitchelson, a resilient holocaust survivor with a wonderful smile.
SYMPHONY OF NORTHWEST ARKANSAS | ARKANSAS MUSIC PHOTOGRAPHER
Back in January, I had the pleasure, again, of creating images for SoNA, the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas. I've done shoots for them a few times in the past, and it's always pleasing when a previous client calls up again for some more images.
ARKANSAS JUSTICE COLLECTIVE | ARKANSAS NON-PROFIT PHOTOGRAPHER
Stephen Coger, a small-town-Arkansas native, moved to Fayetteville to attend the university. During his tenure there, he evolved into a social activist that constantly, and exhaustingly, started trying to do his best to help people who were in less fortunate situations than him. A fluent Spanish speaker due to where he grew up, and a mom who was a paralegal for decades, it’s no surprise that he started working at Legal Aid of Arkansas, an organization providing legal assistance to people who wouldn’t normally be able to afford such a service.
ESSENCE MAGAZINE | ARKANSAS EDITORIAL PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER
I've had to keep it "hush hush" for a couple of months until publication, but I can finally share images from a shoot I did for Essence Magazine featuring Walmart executive Latriece Watkins.
FEATURED IN A+, THE UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS HONORS COLLEGE MAGAZINE
A little over eight years ago, I graduated from the University of Arkansas Honors College with a B.S. in biology and anthropology and a minor in Spanish. Last month, I opened up the most recent issue of A+, the University of Arkansas Honors College magazine, and found myself featured inside, with a standout quote to boot!
HERO HALF MARATHON | NORTHWEST ARKANSAS RACE PHOTOGRAPHER
If you haven't seen a firefighter run a half-marathon in full gear, you're missing out.
OZARK HIGHLANDS TRAIL SECTION 2 | ARKANSAS OUTDOORS PHOTOGRAPHER
Last weekend, I went with my lovely wife and our pup and headed out to hike section two of the Ozark Highlands Trail. We hiked it backwards, going from the Cherry Bend Trailhead to White Rock Mountain, which is about a 20 mile route.
FLOAT EUREKA | ARKANSAS OUTDOOR LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHER
Here's a quick throwback to a shoot this summer for Float Eureka, a new local water sports outfitter based in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
